many of you probably know, the LSESU Bulgarian Society has
made a tradition out of celebrating one of the best-loved
Bulgarian holidays - St. Trifon Zarezan!

get to the Shakespeare's is to take the tube to either Barbican
or Angel and take a short walk from there.

5 February 2007 GLOBAL WEEK PARADE Dear
members, The Bulgarian Society is pleased to invite you to
volunteer to represent our beautiful country at the Global
Week Parade on 5th February! This year your Bulgarian
Society cooperated with the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria
to provide national costumes for 5 people, who will have the
opportunity to show off our age-old traditions and beautiful
costumes! If you are interested in representing Bulgarian
culture at the parade and/or at the Show, please contact Bilyana

2 November 2006 REUNION Meeting
We welcome all new and all students at out Reunion meeting
on 2 November 2006 at 8pm at the LSE Three Tuns.

As the end of the academic year is approaching and many of
our members are to leave the LSE, we'd like to invite all
new Bulgarian LSE students and those who have not yet been
on the LSE BG Society Board, to express their interest in
running for a position on the 2006/2007 academic year Committee.
All you need to do at this stage is just send us an e-mail
at su.soc.bulgarian@lse.ac.uk
and let us know of your intent to run for a position
on the Society board.
Martenitsi, 1 March 2006, Baba Marta
at the LSE
LSE Bulgarian Society is to give out Martenitsi to all
our members and friends!!! On 1 March,
Wednesday in front of the Old Building between 11am -
2pm. We have made hundreds of them, especially
for this event. So watch out for the Bulgarian table
on the 1st of March and come and collect your little
white and red strip to carry along the Bulgarian tradition.
If you feel like sharing with us the joyous spirit of
Spring, Health and Hope around and behind the Baba Marta
table, JOIN US (anytime between 11am-2pm). We hope to
see all of you there:)

and Eastern European Development Society presents…The
EU Enlargement: New Challenges and Opportunities

Discussion with:H.E. Mr. Luchezar Matev, Ambassador
of Bulgaria to the UK, H.E. Mr. Josip Paro, Ambassador
of Croatia to the UK, Mrs. Raduta Matache,
Deputy Head of the Romanian Mission to the UK. Join us for
an insightful discussion and first-hand perspectives on the
new challenges and opportunities posed by further enlargement
of the EU in the near future. The event will be followed
by a reception. No tickets are required
for this event or the reception. Places are on a first-come,
first-serve basis. This is the first time the Society
receives a representative of the BG embassy in London to
the LSE. |
